Kollel Avreichim

The Kollel is comprised of Avreichim with aspirations to grow in Torah and deepen their Torah knowledge, who care about and are conscious of their mission. The purpose of the Kollel is an elite training of Torah scholars and bnei Torah who are committed to serving the public. The curriculum in the Kollel is demanding and comprehensive with the goal of training young Torah leadership to take on roles in communities, schools, educational institutions and yeshivas in both Israel and abroad. Many of the Kollel members participate in guiding the yeshiva students and even take a central part in accompanying and guiding the students as they take their first steps in the world of Torah learning.

Hesder Yeshiva

Torah B’Tzion accepts yeshiva high school graduates and graduates from religious high schools throughout the country who are interested in learning Torah ‘lishmah’ (for its own sake), through a deep connection to the Israeli public. The students are accompanied on a personal level by the rabbis and yeshiva staff, throughout the time in which they are learning in the yeshiva, serving in the army, and completing their learning. The yeshiva focuses on providing individual guidance in both learning and counseling, tailored to the needs and abilities of each student. The educational outlook of the Yeshiva Heads is based on the principle that ‘nothing stands in the way of the will.’ Therefore, the yeshiva looks for students who are self-motivated and strive to “save the world.” The students are an organic and unique group, caring and deep rooted, whose visions and goals are to grow in Torah, based on a commitment to the future of the Jewish people.

Yeshivat Torah B’Tzion’s goal is to educate bnei Torah and views its mission and challenge as bringing individuals closer to Torah.

The Rosh Yeshiva of Torah B’Tzion is Rav Nachum Neriya, shlita, son of Rav Moshe Tzvi Neriya, zt”l, Rosh Yeshivot Bnei Akiva and founder of Yeshivat Kfar Haroeh and of Torah in Eretz Yisrael. The Yeshiva views itself as obligated to fulfill the spiritual and educational goals which Rav Moshe Tzvi began.

The Yeshiva emphasizes Torah learning in depth, development of learning, joy and a deep connection to the Israeli and Jewish public. In the heals of Rav Moshe Tzvi, zt”l, Torah B’Tzion has taken upon itself the ‘request’ for holiness, kedushat Eretz Yisrael, Ahavat Yisrael and the Torah.

Ahavat Eretz Yisrael – Yeshivat Torah B’Tzion is a full-time hesder yeshiva. It is located in the Yishuv of Efrat, in Gush Etzion. There, it is a center of Torah study and home to chachamim. The learning in the Beit Midrash focuses on laying the foundation for learning and establishing learning in depth and scope. During the shiurim the Roshei Yeshivot and Maggid shiurim strive to explain the sugyot in the gemara in conjunction with practical questions for our generation.

Ahavat HaTorah – A guiding principle in the educational approach of our yeshiva is to provide personal attention for each student. On account of both the students and rabbis, the saying in pirkei avot: “make for yourself a rav and acquire for yourself a friend” is fulfilled. The students are accompanied on a personal level by the rabbeim who guide them by getting to know them on a deep and personal level. Torah B’Tzion believes that personal attention is crucial in building healthy talmidei chachamim in body and spirit.

Ahavat Yisrael – Yeshivat Torah B’Tzion’s motto is ‘kiruv levavot’ which is a central part in the daily life at the yeshiva, in its educational approach and in the lives of the students. The doors of the yeshiva are open to students from all backgrounds, Israeli-born students, students from abroad, Sefardim and Ashkenazim alike. The common denominator is that they all have a desire to learn G-d’s Torah.
